課程簡介 The goal of the course is to prepare students to become familiar with the theories, practices, techniques and tools in knowledge management, and to assist students to master the practices of knowledge management in organization, at the end of the course students will be able to: 1. Understand the development of KM. 2. Understand the principles and practices of KM. 3. Understand the issues of KM. 4. Audit tangible and intangible knowledge assets in organization. 5. Use the tools of KM. 6. Learn how to construct a KM program in a organization.

二、教學大綱

教學進度與主題

The mainobjective of the course is to help students have a comprehensive understandingof the knowledge management (KM), personal KM, and KMSs. Accordingly, thiscourse covers essential theories and techniques to develop the KM applicationsfor effective knowledge organization, reuse and sharing. Basically, we willintroduce the model and theories of KM and PKM in detail. Furthermore, theadvanced content management, search, open data, and e-discovery solutions withthe aid of the above techniques for building basic IR systems, or KMapplications are also included in the class. To sum up, the learning objectivesin this course are including:

A. To understandthe key concepts of KM, PKM and KMS.

B. To learnthe information retrieval, text analytic and open data related techniquesapplied in the KMSs.

C. To investigate the KM search solutionsapplies in the businesses, public agencies, and nonprofit organizations environmentthat can help users put knowledge into action.
