課程簡介 The course gives a foundation in project management, primarily to those without a significant background in the subject.

Week 1 Introduction

Week 2 Chapter 1 introduces what is project management.
Week 3
 Chapter 2 presents the project management context and key general management skills.

Week 4 Chapter 3 explains the processes of project management.

Week 5 Chapter 4 introduces project integration management.

Week 6 Chapter 5 presents project scope management which includes scope planning, scope definition scope verification and scope change control.

Week 7 Chapter 6 explains the knowledge about project time management which will focus on the topics of activity definition, activity sequencing, activity development and control.

Week 8 Chapter 7 introduces project cost management, which will provide the advanced technical on cost estimating, cost budgeting and cost control.

Week 9 Chapter 8 presents project quality management which includes quality planning, quality assurance and quality control.

Week 10 Chapter 9 presents project quality management which includes quality planning, quality assurance and quality control.

Week 11 Miderm Exam

Week 12 Chapter 10 discusses project human resource management which will focus on the topics of organizational planning, staff acquisition and team development.

Week 13 Chapter 11 introduces project communications management.

Week 14 Chapter 12 presents risk management which includes risk management planning, risk identification, risk analysis, risk response planning, risk monitoring and control.

Week 15 Chapter 13presents risk management which includes risk management planning, risk identification, risk analysis, risk response planning, risk monitoring and control.

Week 16 Chapter 14 explains project procurement management which will focus on the topics of procurement planning, solicitation planning, contract administration and closeout.

Week 17 Chapter 15 explains project procurement management which will focus on the topics of procurement planning, solicitation planning, contract administration and closeout.

作業 10 % Read texts and other supplementary materials before class. Prepare for class discussion. Present case analyses and submit written reports by the assigned groups.
期中考 30 % Grades are based on 3-5 problem sets for each chapter and an assignment report. The problem sets count 40% and the final report counts for 60% of your grading. Problem sets must be submitted by email to cpshih49@hotmail.com as a word attachment. Please: use your student I D as the name of your homework file so that I do not receive 10 files all called ``homework1``
