課程簡介 This course is designed to examine the procedures and principles involved with research. The course is to help students develop an understanding and an appreciation of the quantitative and qualitative research methods. Research problem formulation, literature review, measurement issues, sampling, research design, data analysis, and report writing using APA format will be addressed in the course.

教學方法
方式 說明
講述法 Text book, PowerPoint slides will be used to introduce the topics relevant to research methodology
討論法 Students will be divided into groups and discuss all assigned questions in the class
實驗/實作 Students will practice using a number of software (e.g., SPSS) to conduct data analysis
專題研究 Students will practice effectively reviewing and criticizing articles of their interests in the area of human resource management
評量方法

作業 40 % Students are required to do a number of assignments regarding research methodology throughout the semester
期中考 20 % Students will be tested for the understanding of all the research concepts and knowledge covered in course lectures and materials
課堂討論參與 10 % Students are expected to attend each class, prepare discussed readings and assignments and actively participate in class discussions.
出席 20 % Class attendance is required. Please come to the class on time and notify the instructor ahead of time if you will be late or absent for a class.
報告 10 % Students are expected to present the answers of assigned assignments from time to time
