課程簡介	The purpose of this course is to introduce students to something of the range of Shakespeare’s drama and to provide students with concepts and vocabulary that may enhance their intellectual appreciation and enjoyment of his plays. All students will have to read at least two Shakespeare plays in their entirety as preparation for the midterm and final exams. These two plays are The Merchant of Venice and Hamlet. In addition, students will be encouraged to read two other plays by Shakespeare—As You Like It and Othello—especially if they are asked to make a presentation on one of the latter.
