課程簡介	The course will introduce data compression methods and underlying theories that can be used to develop effective compression tools for various applications. We will introduce both lossless and lossy compression methods, as well as develop projects to better understand and to verify those concepts. 本課程將介紹資料壓縮方法及其理論，用以開發實用的壓縮工具及應用。本課程將介紹無失真及失真壓縮方法，並藉由專題實作讓學生了解以及驗證壓縮原理及概念。
