課程簡介	This class will introduce graduate students to some of the major topics related to East Asian area studies. Students are expected to learn the basics, theories and practices on East Asian area studies. It is organized around a framework that tries to understand the development approaches of East Asia among various perspectives. The research approaches of East Asia include politics, economics, strategy, Sinology, history, and culture. The fundamental goal of this course is to explore whether East Asian area studies could be understood via comparative approaches, as well as in global perspectives.

1.　學習運用各項東亞區域研究方法，探討東亞國家的政治制度、社會文化與經濟發展。		碩士: 　1-4 擁有東亞區域研究中，政治、社會與經濟的視野與思維能力。
2.　熟習國內外探討東亞區域研究之重要文獻、資料庫與相關學術期刊，以利未來進行相關研究所需。		碩士: 　4-1 能夠以嚴謹的態度、重視學術倫理的精神，審慎進行學術研究。
3.　應用各種所學之相關概念與研究方法在東亞區域研究的分析上。		碩士: 　2-1 具備獨立從事漢學文化與東亞文化思想，以及國際政治經濟之基礎研究能力。
4.　熟悉東亞各國的政治、經濟與社會文化發展背景，並蒐集與分析相關資訊以呈現研究結果。		碩士: 　2-5 從事文教、研究單位及政府機關相關職務，所需具備漢學文化與政治經濟之規劃、撰寫、編輯與執行能力。
