課程簡介 本課程設計的目的在於探索潛在課程的概念、重要議題以及對於學生在學習上的影響。課程不只著重於自我導向學習(self-directed learning),同時也重視探索日常生活、教室生活、學校體制和教科書中的潛在課程訊息。學生可依據自己的興趣,選擇某一特定的教育議題進行研究與討論,最後以專題報告的方式呈現研究成果。 The aim of this course is to develop students’ abilities to recognize and to explore the “hidden curriculum” in life and in education, as well as its impact on learning. It is intended that in this course students will get opportunities to investigate into the unwritten rules and unspoken expectations, unofficial norms, behaviors and values, and the implicit academic, social, and cultural messages of the dominant-culture context in which teaching and learning is situated. The design of the course not only focuses on self-directed learning but also on the collaborative exploration of the embedded message/value of hidden curriculum in daily life, classroom life, school system, and in textbooks. Students can choose topics and issues based on their concerns and interests to have in-depth explorations and then lead to group discussions and presentations. Also, students are expected to have a project-based study for their final term paper.
