| 課程簡介 | This course introduces students to a wide range of semantic phenomena and issues in formal semantics, adopting a truth-conditional account of meaning. Topics covered include propositional and predicate logic, generalized quantifier theory, proportional determiners, NPIs, semantic inference relations, definite descriptions, genericity, representation of NP (including mass, collectives and bare plurals), tense logic, modality and Davidson’s theory of event sentences. | ||
