課程簡介	In this course, we will study Role and Reference Grammar, one of the major theories of functional syntax, in details. In addition, we will compare the theory with other leading functional theories such as construction grammar and the theory developed by T. Givon. Students are expected to be able to use RRG to analyze one or some grammatical phenomenon/phenomena in the languages spoken in Taiwan, and/or compare the RRG analysis with the analysis proposed based on other theoretical framework(s).
