課程簡介	The field of production and operations management (POM) is concerned with the design, management, and improvement of operating systems and processes. An understanding of the POM theories as well as practices is essential for a management of technology (MOT) students. Thus, this course is designed as an introductory course aiming at assisting the MOT students understand the state of the arts of POM. Major emphasis will be placed on operations management and strategy, supply chain management, managing innovation and new product development, organizational learning and process improvement as well as leveraging operational capabilities to create and sustain competitive advantage. The course includes lectures, readings, case discussion, presentations, field visits, and term project.
