課程簡介	Informetrics refers to quantitative measurements of information resources such as bibliographic databases, scientific data, patent, and the web, etc. It has its roots in bibliometrics and has a long history of being applied in Scientometrics. In recent years, it has been expanded to Webometrics, and other domain specific metrics like Patentmetrics. This course provides lectures and discussion on the literature of Informetrics. Both theoretical and practical aspects will be covered to demonstrate the value of Informetrics. Upon completion of this course, students should be able to explain the fundamental principles of Informetrics, demonstrate proper use of Informetrics analyses, and address important Informetrics-related research issues.
