課程簡介	南海問題牽涉議題廣泛，涉及國家和勢力眾多，情勢詭譎多變。南海及其周圍海域無論在供應資源及能源，或是提供便利的海上交通，向為重要的海域，也因而引起區域內外國家的高度重視。由於環南海各方對於南沙群島中諸多島礁的主權主張處於複雜的情勢，極易引發衝突事件，也使得此一區域的安全議題成為學術界和實務界賦予高度注意的觀察點和指標。本課程之目標在於使學生能夠理解南海的重要性，並能透過相關國際法律規則的探討與解釋，明瞭國際社會的處理原則和我國應有的政策。本課程將採英文授課方式進行。 “Complexity” is the nature of the South China Sea disputes. It is a well-known fact that the South China Sea controls the strategic transportation routes, holds abundant resources, either it is living or non-living resources. Such situation becomes more complicated when the US asserts its new pivotal shift to Asia-Pacific policy, which makes the security issues of this region more important than ever. The purpose of this course is to enable student’s capability in independent study and understand related knowledge on the South China Sea issues. This course shall be conducted in English.
